Baton Rouge High Students Climb Mountains for Math!
- Aug 10, 2006

Mrs. Sharon Besson and Mrs. Doris Parrino took nine students from BRMHS to compete at the Mu Alpha Theta National Convention in Fort Collins, Colorado in July. Mu Alpha Theta is the National Honors Mathematics Society which is an organization dedicated to promoting scholarship in mathematics and establishing math as an integral part of high school and junior college education.
Over 600 students from 45 schools throughout the nation, including Hawaii, and Souel, Korea competed. All had a wonderful time competing, site seeing, socializing, and making new friends from around the country.
