Hundreds Turn Out for School District Employee Health Fair
- July 29, 2010
In just a few years, the East Baton Rouge Parish School System’s Benefits Department has taken the seed of an idea and grown it into healthier lifestyles for employees. Hundreds of current and retired employees turned out for the district’s annual Employee Health Fair, which was held Monday and Tuesday, July 26 and 27, at the School System’s Instructional Resource Center.
The free health fair tested employee blood pressure and vision, allowed for blood donations and offered nutritional, financial and retirement counseling. In addition, generous sponsors and vendors were on site, as well, offering information and items for giveaways.
