- Feb 13, 07
Five graduating seniors from Baton Rouge Magnet High School are candidates for the United States Presidential Scholars Program, one of the nation’s highest honors for high school seniors.
The East Baton Rouge Parish School System again leads area public school districts in the number of students selected as candidates. David Bush, Andrew Gowdy, Anuj Jhunjhunwala, Laura St. Pierre and Leixin R. Zhao are among hundreds of outstanding students across the nation who will apply for an opportunity to become a semifinalist and ultimately a Presidential Scholar.
Scholars are chosen on the basis of their accomplishment in many areas including, academic and artistic success, leadership, and involvement in school and community. We congratulate these outstanding students and wish them success as the selection process moves forward.
