- November 22, 2010
Grandparents stabbed bags of milk with their straws, ate alongside grandchildren decked out in Native American headbands and even played a few games during recess Thursday, November 18, at the Grandparents Thanksgiving Lunch held at Baton Rouge Center for Visual and Performing Arts (BRCVPA).
First grader Noelle Braud (center, first photo) was joined for chicken, stuffing and cranberry sauce by grandparents Emmett and Dolores Braud. And after lunch, grandmother Celeste Myers (left, second photo) took a slide down memory lane during recess with granddaughter Madeline Shelton, who is in kindergarten. Hundreds of grandparents joined children in grades K-5 at BRCVPA’s lunch that day to celebrate an early Thanksgiving.
