Kenilworth Middle, Westdale Elementary Hold Career Fairs
- December 12, 2008
Police officers. Firefighters. Bankers. Attorneys. Energy experts. These professionals and many more were either present at or exemplified by students at school career fairs recently.
Kenilworth Middle School held its Annual Career Expo, where tables were set up for each career representative on site. Students visited each one to discuss professions one on one. One student even tried on a safety suit during an Entergy presentation on jobs in nuclear power (first photo).
At Westdale Heights Magnet School, parents came and talked about their professions during the school’s Job Fair. The second-grade students had to choose a career, research it, write an outline and paper and memorize a presentation they gave to the class. In Dedria Williams' class, students dressed in costumes to represent their favorite careers (second photo).
