Glasgow Middle Student Wins Community Coffee Art Contest
- March 12, 2009
After years of producing great-tasting coffee, Community Coffee Company chose a much younger blend for its 90th Birthday Card Art Contest – a Gifted & Talented art student’s artwork done at Glasgow Middle School.
Amber Johnese won the grand prize in the contest, which asked students to create art celebrating the company’s 90th birthday for a greeting card. She was awarded two Dell laptop computers (one for her and one for the school; a value of about $2,000) and has the honor of her art being featured on the birthday card and on Community Coffee’s Web site, www.communitycoffee.com.
Johnese’s art featured a giant cupcake with candle, a “90” balloon and gifts in front of the home that is featured on the Community Coffee logo.
