Krewe of Jupiter Brings an Early Mardi Gras to Delmont Elementary
- January 28, 2010
Members of the Krewe of Jupiter and its royal court kicked off the Mardi Gras season in style Wednesday at Delmont Elementary School. They danced to Mardi Gras music and threw beads and other items to Pre-K and kindergarten students, such as (first photo, left to right) Adam Underwood, Quentin Carter, Vercie Gibson and Willie Edwards, who yelled “Throw me something, mister” at an outside assembly.
Ball Captain Linda Hendricks (second photo, back row) even handed out a few hugs to students like Keosha Johnson, Keither Dickerson, Ariel Thomas and Talia Patton. Krewe members, including Krewe Queen Tammy Napoli and Princess Madisyn Napoli (Tammy’s daughter), then visited the first-grade classrooms. Delmont Elementary Principal Dawn Brewster is a member of the Krewe, as is her mother, Barbara Brewster.
