Fifth Graders Create Magical Experience with ‘Aladdin Jr.’ Production
Turbans, curly-toed shoes and flowing robes were the fashions on parade as fifth graders worked a little magic this week in productions of “Aladdin Jr.” at Forest Heights Academy of Excellence.
Today, May 5, and yesterday, May 4, the student actors, including (pictured, left to right) Jaleicia Miller as Jafar, LaDereka Christian as Jasmine, Saxon Boudreaux as Aladdin, Kemmyona Moore as the Genie and (kneeling) Andrew Newton as Razoul, put on shows for students invited from other schools. However, parents, students and the general public have two more chances to see the production: at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, May 11 and 12, at the school. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children.
