Home Depot Volunteers Make Improvements to BRCVPA School
- October 28, 2011
All day Friday and Saturday, October 14 and 15, Team Depot representing volunteers from Home Depot and volunteers from Baton Rouge Center for Visual & Performing Arts (BRCVPA) worked together at the school to paint the library and administrative offices, install a brick paver patio and build a pergola with flower box planters near the entrance of the school. The Home Depot Foundation’s Team Depot Grant for community improvements made the project possible. Home Depot volunteers like Jon Cobb (left, pictured) of the Purchasing Department and Mike Shamelin (right), general manager of the Baton Rouge Direct Fulfillment Center, were not afraid to get their hands dirty as they helped construct the pergola.
