I CARE Presents "Preventing Targeted Violence In Schools"

I CARE is proud to present Preventing Targeted Violence In Schools, a presentation by the US Secret Service National Threat Assessment Center as our 2005 April Event. The presentation will be held on Thursday evening, April 28, 2005 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the CoxCommunicationsCenter for Student-Athletes Campbell Auditorium, LSU.
The focus of the presentation will be to examine the behavior of students who have planned and implemented acts of school violence. Two school shooting case studies will be discussed along with techniques for threat assessment and evaluation of student risk.

Principal Brister in Washington, D.C., to Accept McKinley Middle School’s Second Blue Ribbon Award
On Tuesday, November 13, 2012, Principal Herman Brister (pictured, left) and the school’s Teacher of the Year, Lynn Williamson (right), were in Washington, D.C., accepting McKinley Middle Academic Magnet School’s National Blue Ribbon Award from U.S. Department of Education’s Director of National Blue Ribbon Schools Program Aba Kumi (center).
