EBR Teacher Named Wal-Mart and Sam's Club Teacher of the Year

The East Baton Rouge Parish School System congratulates Ms. Earnestine Johnson for her selection as Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club Teacher of the Year 2007. Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club awarded Ms. Johnson $1,000 to use toward her classroom needs.
Ms. Johnson is a first grade teacher at Brownfields Elementary School. She has over 30 years of experience in the classroom. During the 1988-89 school year, Ms. Johnson was a finalist for the East Baton Rouge Parish School System “Teacher of the Year” award.
Principal Brister in Washington, D.C., to Accept McKinley Middle School’s Second Blue Ribbon Award
On Tuesday, November 13, 2012, Principal Herman Brister (pictured, left) and the school’s Teacher of the Year, Lynn Williamson (right), were in Washington, D.C., accepting McKinley Middle Academic Magnet School’s National Blue Ribbon Award from U.S. Department of Education’s Director of National Blue Ribbon Schools Program Aba Kumi (center).
