Jefferson Terrace Elementary Wins Blue Cross Grant
- October 4, 2010
Debra Adebutu, principal of Jefferson Terrace Elementary School, is the recipient of a Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana Grant. Funds from the $4,057 award will be used to pay for labor and materials to update the school’s wiring and add additional technology “drops” in each classroom to accommodate recently purchased ActiveBoards, Elmo projectors, computers, printers and flat-screen televisions.
Since the corporate headquarters are located in the Jefferson Terrace attendance zone, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana has been the school’s community partner since 1989. The company contributes to educational programs throughout the state through its Corporate Charitable Giving Program.
