Park Forest MS Students Take College-Prep Tour at SLU
- December 21, 2010
To get a jumpstart on preparing to apply to college, several students from Park Forest Middle School made a recent visit to Southeastern Louisiana University. The College Access 4 U: College Tour fosters early college and career awareness by helping students understand why they should go to college, the work it takes to get into college and how to pay for college.
The tour exposed students to a brief but realistic look at college life as part of the Positive Behavior program, where students are chosen to participate in special programs as a reward based on their academic and behavioral history, teacher recommendations and personal observations.
