Two Pre-K, K Events Planned for the End of the Month
- January 19, 2010
There are two very important events coming up regarding the education of our youngest students.
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, January 23, the district will hold the Pre-School Palooza at Cortana Mall. The free event will provide information and booths on a variety of community services and organizations that pre-school parents might need.
It’s also time to get ready for next year’s pre-school and kindergarten classes at East Baton Rouge Parish public schools. Students who will be 4 or 5 years old by September 30 are eligible for Pre-K and Kindergarten classes, respectively. It’s first-come, first-served for placement in Pre-K classes, and we begin taking applications for Pre-K classes January 26. You also can register for Kindergarten. This is done at any of our pre-school centers or neighborhood schools.
For more information on either event, please call the Pre-School Department at 355-6197 or log on to www.ebrschools.org and go to the Pre-K page.
