- July 15, 2008
Members of the Baton Rouge Youth Ballet lept and twirled for students this summer during one of many events held for the LA4 Pre-K Summer Enrichment program of East Baton Rouge Parish School System. In addition to dancers and other guests, students from across the Parish enjoyed visiting with Farmer Minor and his Reading Pig and Charlie the Noise Guy and listening to the Louisiana Sinfonietta, a local orchestra. When activities weren’t held at local public libraries, students enjoyed field trips. At the end of the summer, participating children received library cards and enrolled in the Summer Reading Program.
