Parents Immersed Themselves In Languages During SBES ‘Excursion’
- November 26, 2008
About 271 people representing around 125 families enjoyed a mini school day taught all in French or Spanish as part of the Immersion Excursion held earlier this month. The annual event is sponsored by the South Boulevard French Language Academic Immersion Magnet School. Attendees enjoyed activities, mini classes of math or science, games and more – all in French or Spanish, with a student translator nearby, of course. Daria Darensbourg, for example, and her mother (in photo) enjoyed an activity in English Language Arts. The school teaches all courses entirely in one of these languages.
