Winbourne Elementary Celebrated End of LEAP Testing with Fraternity’s Omega March Celebration
- April 20, 2010
There was a collective sigh of relief across East Baton Rouge Parish around 3 p.m. Friday, April 16, when teachers and students finished up a week of iLEAP and LEAP testing. Winbourne Elementary School held an outside rally to dance for joy at the end of testing with the Lambda Alpha Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity.
Fraternity members held an Omega March with dance-like precision and included students and staff alike. For example, (first photo) Principal Brenda Wilkinson (right) joined Omega Terrence Marshall (left) in a dance while third graders watched. In addition, student Andre Mason (second photo; center, front of the line) helped lead the Omega Train dance.
